Storm water retention ponds no longer have to be an eye sore to a community. but with the addition of floating rafts or islands coupled with waters edge and shoreline planting a storm water pond can be transformed into a community centerpiece. Village Green Project
Featured Aquatic Plants
Variegated Water Celery
Leaves of pink, green, and white make Water Celery a beautiful plant for ponds, streams, and floating islands. It is an excellent filtering plant for sun or light shade, and it wiill tolerate depths to 10".
Nymphia 'Marliacea Albida'
This is a hardy water lily with dark green, rounded leaves, 9" across. Foliage is bronzed when young. Flowers are fragrant, white with yellow stamens, 5" to 6" across. Best grown in undisturbed waters with full sun. Height varies with water depth.

Still Waters uses floating rafts and islands in many pond projects. When filled with a variety of specifically selected wetland plants our rafts will improve water quality, and add beauty to any project. From the design perspective these floating gardens (Islands and rafts) can help draw the pond into the existing landscape.
